Conclusions

The construction of these simple circuits has given us a tool with which to deepen our understanding of irregular processes in chaotic systems which appear intermittent. We propose that the study of such systems provides valuable qualitative insight into the classes of behaviour which may occur in real chaotic systems [6][10]. Bursty behaviour which appears intermittent may indicate the presence of traps or snags. It is probably due to added noise but there is the possibility that it may be an intermittency induced by crisis.
